Deactivate worksheet protection in Excel

Hello!

Is there a way to deactivate a protected worksheet in excel, if one doesn't
know the password that is set?
A tool to download for example, that deletes the password for example.

No. What good is a password if it can be easily "deleted" or bypassed?

Obviously WRONG answer since there are many 3rd party programs and
much free code to remove worksheet and workbook protection passwords.
For example,

http://www.straxx.com/excel/password.html

and

http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html

But your philosophical point is valid: what value is there to Excel's
internal password protection SINCE IT IT DEMONSTRABLY SIMPLE TO
REMOVE?

....

Don't ask Excel-specific questions in this newsgroup. Ask Excel-
specific questions in Excel-specific newsgroups where practicality has
overruled sanctimony about Excel's internal passwords for over a
decade.
