decimal correction

Sirs,
When a number with decimals is corrected to a required number of decimal
places,the multiplication of that number is giving incorrect
value(considering the decimal number prior to correction).Kindly advise any
method to rectify this?

formatting alone does not help
Use something like
=ROUND(A1,2)
