decimal number interpreted as a date

When entering a decimal number, SOMETIMES Excel interprets it as a date -

The cell where you enter the number does probably have a date format.
To change this, right click on the cell (or cells), select "Format
Cells..." and then select another format, e.g. "General".

just to make sure Excel uses comma for the decimal separator 2,7 gives the
same result

Might be worth looking at your Windows Regional Options (in Control Panel).
If you've got date formats specified there as d.m.y, it might be worth
seeing what happens if you change to d/m/y and try putting the number in
again after that.
