I have a large spreadsheet and on each row is a simple formula. In Row 31 i
have a problem. The formula is located in cell O31.
=AB31-E31+I31-M31-N31
In each of the cells is a currency formated number, input to two decimal
places or left BLANK.
AB31 = $333.71
E31 = $1.80
I31 = BLANK
M31 = $330.91
N31 = BLANK
The result in 031 displays as $0.00
However, i have a conditional format in Column P which changes the format is
cell O31 is ZERO. P31 does not change color.
When i change the formatting of the number in O31 i find that the result of
the formula is actually -$0.000000000000056843418860808000.
I copied the cell and pasted in the value which came out to be
-5.6843418860808E-14.
Can anybody please explain why this result occured. All other rows in the
spreadsheet have the same formats and formulas and returned ZERO correctly. I
have tried copying the correct rows and this does not work either.
