DecimalPlaces error when opening a SQLServer table

When opening an SQLTable from a MSAccess project the following message is
displayed: "The setting fro the DecimalPlaces property must be from 0 through
15, or 255 for Auto (default)." The setting for decimal places is grayed out
in design view. How can I set the decimal places on a table to prevent this
message from popping up?
