Decrease file size

You need to compact the database
go to
Tools/Database Utilities/Compact and Repair database

I am new to Access, but have developed a databases that

currently has very few records (testing)... I do have over
8 tables and about the same number of forms and reprots.
There are three queries. The database is showing that it is
over 50mg. When I delete or change anything, it stays
exactly the same size.

I need to post this to our corporate server. When I try,

it takes over 30 minutes. It sure seems that something in
the file size is incorrect. I am a novice, but any help
