Greetings,

I have a corrupt database that I've managed to figure out how to keep using in Entourage 2004. The database is incredibly large- about 37 GB. How can I decrease the size of this database so I can rebuild and use when I upgrade to Entourage 2008?

If you just have Exchange simply create a new Identity in Entourage 2008 and
let it sync to your Exchange account.

Rebuilding a 37GB Identity would take a whopping 74 GB. Free space. Most
likely it would fail.

Any info you have from the folders "On My Computer" could be manually moved
out.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

Thanks Diane. But would this mean that when I sync to the exchange server that all my event and email associations to specific categories and projects will be lost? Is there a way to preserve this?

I've had to resync with exchange before and I lost all the category and project assignments.

Also, is there a way to reduce the size of the database? I read somewhere that there is a limit in the size of the 2008 database.

Thank you!
Julia
