Defalut Font settings in Excel

The font appers in italics format whenever I open my Excel. :confused:
Please help me find a way of changing this default setting.

Format menu - Style - in "Normal Style", click Modify and you can change
the font style to regular.

Do you mean row and column headers are in Italics?

Tools>Options>General "Standard Font" can be adjusted to your liking.

This will change the row and column headers

Note: changing this will not affect previously saved workbooks.

I could solve the problem. But the solution you have provided is not
exact. Styles are applicable only to a particular area and not globally
to every Excel file. Probably I was not clear in explaining my
problem.
Anyway I have got the problem ficed myself.
