Default appointment duration

How do I change the default appointment duration to 0 minutes. Its available
in the drop down menu so I figure it must be 'settable'. I work shifts and
only need to know which one Im on, the times never change and its a right
pain to change the times manually for every single day of the year.

I don't think you can do that since, if I remember right, the duration is
linked to the division size set in the daily calendar view.

From what I see the "Default duration" is based on the time scale of
the daily and weekly view. Since you can't have time scale of "0" you
can't set "0" as the default.
