Default colours of selected areas

If I select an area of this page as if to copy it, by default the highlighted
area turns blue and the text white. How can I change the defaults on my
webpages?

You can't.
That is a function of the system, not the web page.

Ok but, what if the webpage I am working on highlights selected areas in
orange? How do I do that?

Maybe you have a different colour scheme or theme from the usual blue/grey
default scheme? (i.e. the "classic" Win9x view) or the XP view (default
blue/red etc).

Different colour scheme can set different colours such as highlighted text
etc.

what web page (please provide a link) hightlights text in orange?

??

I have the normal XP settings. The page it is happening on is part of a web
template that I am playing around with. The page isn't published so I can't
link you to it.

In any view, the highlight colour is the complementary colour, black
text on a white background will highlight as white text on black.
Blue text on yellow will highlight as yellow text on blue.

In FP2003, in code view, if the page has a DWT attached, the
non-editable regions will have an orange background.
