I live in Canada and whenever I ask a smart tag to display a map I get
nonsense from MSN Maps. I think this is because it thinks it is a US
address. How can I set the default to search for Canadian addresses? For
example, if I have the following in a Word document:
Vancouver City Hall
453 West 12th Avenue
Vancouver, BC V5Y 1V4
And on the smart tag I choose "Display Map", it creates the URL
http://mappoint.msn.com/(1dqiltyowe...city1=Vancouver&stnm1=BC&zipc1=V5Y 1V4&src=OF
Which produces a page with the message 'Your search for "453 West 12th
Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Y 1V4" has returned the following results.
Please select one.'
The results are a list of numbers like:
00501
00544
01001
01002
and so on.
Does anyone know of a change I can make that will look up this address
correctly? (BTW: Adding Canada to the address in the Word document does
not help.)
Thanks,
