Default data source for mailmerges.

Is it possible to change the default data source for Windows mail merge?
When I open a mail merge document and want to identify where the merge data
is I would like for it to go straight to a particular folder as the starting
point. Right now it drills down about three followers deep under the
Document and Setting Folder. This is not where I would like for it to start
looking and want to know if this can be changed.

Check under Word>Tools>Options>File Locations... for the default Document
setting.
This 'may' help, allthough I have the My Documents folder on a seperate
drive, the default data source is then shown as a subfolder of My Docs
