Default e-mail account not used when replying

I have two e-mail accounts configured. Actually one is
just an alias of the other (e-mail forwarder).

Let's say my real e-mail is [email protected] and the alias is
[email protected]. I set the [email protected] as my default account
and when I create a new message, it is the one used to
send the message which is correct.

But whenever I reply to any message, whether it was sent
to [email protected] or [email protected], the non-default account
([email protected]) was being used to send it.

I would like [email protected] to be used when replying to
messages sent to [email protected]. I tried recreating both
accounts and it didn't work.

Bummer - care to share the version of Outlook (and the mode if 98/2000),
your mail transport type (IMAP, POP3, Exchange) and if it ever worked?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
