Default email program

I recently started using Outlook xp after Outlook Express
and it works fine except when I try to send email from
Internet Explorer, or using 'Send To Mail Recipient' in
Windows XP. Then Outlook Express starts up to send the
mail. Outlook is listed as the default email program in
IE, and the check box in Outlook is ticked to make it the
default email program.
Any ideas?

Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]

In control panel, internet options, programs, re-set the default mail
program to OE - apply. Re-set to Outlook - apply.

didnt work. Any more ideas?

Thanks again for responding.
Yes - its a pc, Im the only user, and I am
the 'administrator'.
