Default Folder Formats

Is there anyway to change the default format of new folders created? The
defaults set bt Microsoft are not what I would prefer to use. Right now, my
only option is to go into each folder and change things like "pre-view", and
sorting order, etc..

I've search high and low for this setting, but have been unable to find it.

You mean the View of a folder? You can do this by Modifying the Messages
View but you are probably better of creating your own View and apply this
view at first use of the folder.
View-> Arrange By-> Current View-> Define Views...

I understand your approach, but I create and file in folders by name. Thus I
have more that 2000+ folders. Going to each one and applying a "custom view"
would take a very long time. Additionally, when ever I create a new folder,
it would still not have custom view applied, (thus the problem starts to grow
again).

I've hear other colleagues wish for this type of functionality, is there no
other work-around for this issue?
