Default Location cannot be found...

I'm trying to update 10.0 to 10.1.2, but after authenticating I get an
error: "The default location required for this install could not be
found. This install will be cancelled."

The Office apps were installed, by default, here:

HD:Applications:Microsoft Office 2004

Running OS X 10.3.5 on an Imac/400 with 576mb RAM. Any ideas how I can
get this updated?

Thanks.

Office 2004 doesn't have any updaters yet--you appear to be trying to
install an updater for Office X when you have 2004?

If you really do have X, see here to find out what version you really have,
the About...screens are not correct, and the problem may be that you don't
need the 10.1.2 installer.

PS. For that site, hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different

Sounds like you are trying to run an updater for Office v.X on your
copy of Office 2004. There are no updates yet for Office 2004, only
for the Office Auto-update app.
