default margins

does anyone know what the defualt settings should be for margins, headers,
footers, and gutters, mine are a mess and I can't figure out what they should
be.

I wish I could remember the default location for you. Basically you
just delete the default Normal.dot (Template) file and Word will replace it
with new copy of the standard version. That is assuming you have not made
any changes to the template file that you want to keep. Anytime you want to
make a set of changes, you can make your own new template file.

I'll let someone who remembers where it is stored, help you out and
offer any additional warnings that might apply to the newer versions of
Word. I am assuming you are talking about Word.

They can be whatever you want them to be. :) If you want the "typical"
default settings:

- Page Margins (top/bottom/left/right): 1"
- Header and Footer from edge: 0.5"
- Gutter: 0"
