I'm running Word 2002 (10.5815.4219) SP-2 on a Win2000Pro system.
Recently, for no reason I can see, the default new document has changed.
When I invoke a new document, it still seems to come up in the normal
template, but it displays inconsistently with the Page Setup numbers.
The inconcsistency that caught my attention is that the page appears to be
different dimensions as displayed, and with different top and bottom
margins. In the Print Layout view selection, it appears to be a shorter
page than shown in Page Setup. Page Setup shows Letter size paper
(8-1/2x11) in portrait orientation. Margins were top and bottom 1" and
sides 1.25", but I've changed the default to be 0.7" top and 0.8" bottom
with 1" sides. However, the symptoms were the same before I made the
change.
What is displayed in the "Whole page" view is 7-1/2" wide with 1" margins,
and 9-1/2" high with ZERO margins.
Anybody recognize those symptoms and know how to correct it?
Thanks!
