Default rate table

B

Ben

Hi,

Is it possible to set a default rate table other than A for a project? For
example, I have a project than must use a different rate than the normal
table A rate. I will create a table B rate. But do I need to change every
resource on every task to use the table B rate OR is there a faster way to
tell MS Project to use table B?

Thanks

Hi Ben,

I don't think so but "changing every asignment..." is only a few clicks away
Task Usage View
Insert, column, CostRate Table
Change the 1st one to B
Select from there down to the end
Ctrl+D

I'm not 100% clear but here's what I see. I would have 2 resources (or more)
and each resource would be assigned to a seperate rate table.

The multiple rate tables are not for differing rates between different
resources. They're there to allow you to have multiple rates for ONE
resource whose cost varies depending on what he or she is doing. For
example ... me. My day rate is different when I'm conducting training
sessions versus when I'm doing consulting or development.
