Default... - Terminal Services

I am trying to update the normal.dot through the "Default..." button
available on the Page Setup window in Word 2003. I am using MS Word
2003 on a 2003 server without SP1 through terminal services.

When changing anything and pressing the "Default..." button, it states
that it is changing the default settings, however, once I close and
reopen word, my changes are no longer there. If I simply open the
normal.dot, make changes, save, then close and reopen word, my changes
are there.

Anyone have any ideas? Posting to the wrong forum?
Thanks!
Dru

Is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed on the computer? If yes, then the Acrobat 7.0
Create Adobe PDF toolbar add-in for Word prevents Word from automatically
saving changes to the normal.dot template (which is where your "default"
settings are stored). Choose your "defaults" again, and click "Shift+File |
Save All" to force Word to save the normal.dot template. Alternatively, you
can prevent the Adobe add-in from loading by editing the Windows registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin"
and changing the "LoadBehavior" subkey value from 3 to 0, but you'll lose the
PDF toolbar in Word if you do this.

Thanks! That was it. Man I hate those Adobe plugins. They've caused
more problems than I can count.
