Default Value based on Criteria?

hey
i have a form which uses a query and filters a table to get all record
of TableNumber=1
now..
is there a way i can set the default value of any new records i creat
to be the value that i set as criteria when i entered the form?

in my case lets say i enter criteria of tablenumber as (1)
and i want any new records i create to have the tablenumber as defaul
value of 1
