defaulting to archive

After the last "critical patch", my Outlook pst files are
screwed up. At this point, Outlook keeps defaulting to
archive.pst - even when I move it. The contacts no
longer sync with sent mail, etc. Any ideas?

Can you describe this problem in a little more detail? I'm not sure what
you mean by "moving" the archive.pst. Is your default .PST file (the one
you were using as your primary file before the patch) still open in Outlook?

Nope, any helpful hints like Outlook version, Office Patch level and what
was the update you installed? How many .pst files do you have? What
happens if you nename archive.pst to .bak? Does Outlook prompt you to find
your outlook.pst?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
