Defining new templates and templategroups in O2003

Hi all,

Office 2003; New doc, revieling the Task Pane to the right, selecting
Template and then "On my computer" the user will see the window Templates
showing the different groups of templates like General, Other documents,
Letters and faxes etc. (group sheet tab??)

Where do I find these group-definitions and how do I define my own group and
make sure it is on top (first group sheet in line).

In advance, thanks for all input

The Templates dialog is populated with files found in the User
Templates and Workgroup templates folders. The easiest way to find
these locations is in Word under Tools/Options/File Locations.

Any subfolders place under the Templates folder will display as a tab
in the File/New dialog provided there is at least one file contained
in the folder. If you want to add templates to the built-in categories
then create a subfolder using the same name as the tab. For example if
you wish to add a template to the Memos tab then create a subfolder
named "Memos" under the Templates folder.

As for making sure it is on the first row, the files are sorted
alphabetically and there really isn't a way to control the 'position'.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
