Defining variables specific to a worksheet

I have found a way of creating variables that are specific to a worksheet (rather than to all worksheets within a workbook), but it is very cumbersome and limiting. Does anyone know how to do this?

I don't understand your question. You said you found out how to do it. What
is the problem?

Without knowing what method you've found that you think is cumbersome
and limiting, it's impossible to suggest a less cumbersome and limiting
way...
