Delay in opening web link from email - Outlook 2003

Hi,
Whenever I try opening a web link from an inside an email, it "freezes"
Outlook and in IE7, only if I open another tab, it will actually go to the
website and also "de-freeze" Outlook. I already set up IE7 as default
internet browser.
Any help would be appreciated.
