Delay in start of video...

I have two videos inserted into a PowerPoint (2002) presentation. They are
..wmv files and are around 10-12 Mb each. They are both saved in a folder
(C:/Forum) and are inserted from this location into the presentation, which
is in the same folder.

The video plays fine, WHEN it finally starts playing. There is about a 30
second delay in the start of the video from the time the slide opens to when
the video ACTUALLY starts.

Why would I experience this delay. I ran a 15 Mb video last year and there
was NO delay? Has MS issued a patch that has changed the way PP reads .wmv
files?

Assuming you have double, triple checked your timings <g> the first thing I
would do is defrag the hard drive.

I already did that. I also have adjusted the Hardware Acceleration to every
possible level and that does not solve the problem, nor did the PPTools
software solve it. My presentation is on April 12 to approximately 85
executives from throughout our 30,000 employee Corporation, so I really want
this to work right.
