I have a user who is a delegate for her managers e-mail. This user has set
her e-mail up to receive read receipts on everything she sends. However when
she sends something on her managers behalf, her manager is getting the read
receipts and she does not want to see them. In troubleshooting I have come up
with 3 possible fixes. They are:
Opt 1. Enable "Process receipts on arrival" and "After processing, move
receipts to " Deleted Items
Opt 2. Create a rule in the managers Outlook to move and messages with Read:
in the title to a different folder
Opt 3. Tell the delegate to stop using read receipts.
All 3 will do the trick however each has some issues for these users. They
are:
For Opt 1 - The "After processing, move recipts to " keeps getting
unchecked? The users claims they are not unchecking anything. My questions
here is will the delegates settings be replicated onto the managers settings?
For Opt 2 - The manager refuses to use rules as she is convinced that she
will lose an important message
For Opt 3 - The delegate is not happy about the noe Read Receipts options.
Ultimately what I need to know is, is there a setting or option somewhere
that will tell outlook that the delegate wants the read receipt, not the
manager?
I am sorry this post is so long but these people are rather important in my
organisation and they want this taken care of yesterday. Also any MS KB
articles thet back up my options would be great but I cannot find any
