Delegation Across the Organization

Could someone please let me know if this statement is correct:

In order for a resource manager to delegate to someone not in his line
in the Resource Pool, i.e.:

Resource Manager = SC/PROCURE
Team Member = SC/EXT MFG

I would have to change the Category "My Resources" to allow the ability
to view "All Future and Current Resources."

However, I don't want to do that, because as a company we have decided
not to allow delegation to any other organizational area other than
their own. Is there any other way to allow a resource manager to view
a single resource exception who resides in a different organizational
area?

In the My Resources category, go to the Resources section and add the
resource exceptions to the list of resources on the right side of the page.
This way, each RM will see only his/her own resources as defined by your
RBS, plus the exceptions. Hope this helps.

Dale,

When I do that, ALL Resources Managers throughout the organization will
see their Resources, plus the exceptions, right?

What I want to do is have one particular RM see the exception, but not
the other RM's in the Org.....I don't think that can be done.

You're the best!

OK, now I think I understand your situation. What you should do is to
create a custom Category that contains the one resource exception. Then add
this one Category to the user account for the RM in question and set the
appropriate permissions. This way, each RM will only see his/her resources,
while the RM in question will be able to see his/her reosurces PLUS the one
exception. Hope this helps.
