Delete all pictures in a document

Tom

I need a macro that I can use to delete all pictures in a document.

Any help is appreciated.

If the pictures are In Line With Text, you can use Replace. Search for ^g
and replace with nothing. If they're wrapped, however, that won't work.

In addition to Suzanne's posting, if the images are not InLineWithText layout
you can use the icon for Select Multiple Objects to select all other images
in the document. This icon can be found in the Drawing Commands in the
Customize dialog. Beware that this also lists Text Boxes, WordArt, etc.
objects.
Hope this helps

Unfortunately not - at least in 2007. That tool only selects Drawing
Objects, not pictures... Can't remember if it worked differently in 2003 or
not.

In response to Bob Jones' comments (which for some reason is not showing on
communities/newsgroups through IE).
Hi Bob
I have tested this on 200 and 2003, and for any layout other than
InLineWithText a "picture" object appears on the Multiple Object dialog for
an image. I tested a jpg file brought in via Insert Picture, Paste Picture,
etc.
Is this another function removed from 2007?
All the best

Hi Dean;

I thought I remembered the Select Multiple Objects feature listing
everything in 2003 - it's the first thing I thought of when I read the post.
I tested & just re-tested in 2007, though, and that's not the case now. I
have a Word file into which I've inserted a jpg, png, gif, tif & eps - NONE
of which are listed in the Select Multiple Objects window.

Call it a bug, sin of ommission, exclusion "by design" or whatever, but the
functionality is lacking in 2007 :-(

Thanks for the update.
Sounds like the list of omissions in 2007 from previous versions will outway
the new features ;-)
Would a macro still work to do the function?
All the best

You're asking the wrong guy - VBA ain't my way - but I don't see any reason
why it shouldn't.
