Delete Attachments in Sent folder

We are trying to cleanup and recover some space in our Personal Folders.

However, a question came up if we can remove the attachment of the emails
that were sent already BUT leave the copy of the email for just record
keeping.

We looked at the options of "mailbox cleanup" but there is nothing that
refers to this.

Is this possible?

Mailbox cleanup - do you mean Exchange? No, won't help if you're using PST
files. But if you use Exchange, don't use PST files.
