delete column content

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I have switched from pc to mac. When I want to delete info in a column I used to simply highlight column cells I wanted to delete and click delete. Now when I do it it only deletes on column not the entire 5 or 6 cells I have highlighted.

Is there a simply way to block info I want to delete and simply click delete like I used to?

If you are using a portable Mac, use Fn-Delete. Check Excel help for
keyboard shortcuts.
