Delete confirmation

How do I "turn off" delete confirmation in Word 2000?
When I highlight a word or sentence and press
the "delete" key, the program prompts for yes or no
confirmation.

Hi Sam,

In Tools > Options > General, uncheck both options that mention
WordPerfect.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation.
