If you forward inline, nothing of the original e-mail is retained. Only
a copy of its body is included in your NEW e-mail. Since it is inserted
into the body, and because you are composing the new e-mail, you can
edit anything that appears in the body. If you forward as attachment,
the original e-mail is attached, including all its headers. In either
case, the recipient sees YOUR e-mail address in the From header, not
whomever sent it to you that you then sent onto someone else.

Is there a reason why you don't want to give credit to the originator?
Stealing someone else's material perhaps? You think you are really
fooling anyone that knows you? When my buddy's tell jokes, I can tell
which ones they made up and which ones they heard or read somewhere
else.
