delete image

I have an image on an excel sheet which I put on (vcant remeber how) but cannot delete. I think it is embedded bitmap or gif I cannot highlight it with right click to delete or clear it Its as though it is perm embedded into the background What did I do and how can I get rid of image

Martyn, try Format > Sheet > Delete background.

Dave Peterson

DDM was guessing that you may have put a picture in the background and that's
how you'd delete it. If that option isn't available, then you didn't do that.

How about:
Edit|goto|Special
Objects
then hit the delete button

Be careful. This'll get rid of all your objects on that sheet!

Or try showing the control toolbox toolbar (under View|toolbars).

Then click on that top left icon (looks like a drafter's square).

This'll put you in design mode. Maybe you can select that object and delete it.

Then click on that design mode icon once more.

Save your workbook!
