When a message is selected and then deleted in Entourage, the previous message is then selected in the list of messages. I want Entourage to select the next message after the deleted message not the previous message. I don't see any way to configure this behavior in Entourage. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any forthcoming help.

This behavior cannot be configured differently, but you can use
different keyboard commands to accomplish what you want.

In Entourage select Help menu --> Entourage Help.

Search for "Entourage keyboard shortcuts".

Under the Messages section look for:

"Delete the current message and display the previous unread
message"

and

"Delete the current message and display the next unread message"

You may find other keyboard commands in the same location that are
useful as well.

Hope this helps!

I've been going nuts over this because on my one computer Entourage behave
exactly as you suggested, after I delete it moves down one message. But
could not figure out how to get my new computer to do this. Then
remembered.
I'm using a preference pane add in called Secret
(http://secrets.blacktree.com/). One of the "secrets" you can tur
o
is to have Entourage move down a message after deleting. Finally!
