delete messages from server

Was it here that I read How to delete messages directly from server? If so
please repeat how to do it. (OE) Example: Repeated download of emails
stops at Message 29 stating "unable to receive 29, etc." I know there's a
way to access the server and eliminate 29 so I can receive
messages......Help!.......Shelly
