Delete Messages On Server

I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to make
Outlook 2002 "delete messages" from my University e-mail
server when it downloads them.

I have tried every command offered, I have been to the MS
Outlook help page, and nothing works. I'm sure there is
just a simple check-box here, but I can't find it!!!

What type of connection are you making? POP? IMAP?
