The simple answer is to press Ctrl+End and then backspace till you get back
to the end of the visible text, but it helps to know what this is
accomplishing. Display nonprinting characters using Ctrl+* or the Show/Hide
¶ button, and you'll probably see that there are a number of empty
paragraphs (¶) causing the blank second page. You should be able to delete
all of these unless there is a table filling the first page, in which case
Word requires a single paragraph mark outside the table to contain the
document-level formatting. You can't delete this paragraph mark, but you can
format it as Hidden (Ctrl+Shift+H), which will make the page disappear when
you toggle the display of nonprinting characters off again.
