We recently implemented limits on our exchange 2000 (SP3) mailboxes. Users
now notice that after emptying their deleted items folder when they check the
properties of the folder the size reported is not 0. I have ten or fifteen
users with this issue and all have a different size reported. Tried
different outlook 2000 installs and patch levels same behavior on all tried.
Can add delted items and then delete and it will up and back to this
"baseline" number. In exchange sys manager it shows the folder at 0, but
outlook "sees" mail there. Tried db defrag and system cleanup, no luck. Also
cleared ost file and checked pst files. It is not causing the user to get
incorrect messages/blocking of capabilities but is causing a lot of calls.
Please help-running out of hair to pull out!
