Deleted Tasks

Looking at Project Web Access, I have a few tasks from a project plan that
say they have been deleted (the task is marked with an "x") but the tasks are
still part of the plan when I view it in Project Professional. The tasks also
say they were deleted by someone other than the current project manager,
which is not the case. Any ideas why this is occurring?

This indicates that you were removed from the previously published task
assignment as a resource, not that the task was deleted. Although the
interface refers to individual assignments as tasks, they are still
assignments-to-tasks, not tasks themselves. Therefore, what shows as
"deleted" for one user may not be deleted in the plan or deleted for other
users.

You can teach the resources to click the Hide button. The system was
designed to make this a self service item so that resources would know that
they were removed from the task. You can also run a SQL query to remove the
tasks. We have an example posted at:
