Deleting a watermark

L

Lisa

I have tried everything, I cannot remove 'draft copy' from my document. This document was originally created by somebody else. Is it on the page or something?

For Word 2003, do the following:
On the Format menu, point to Background, and then click Printed Watermark.
Click No watermark.
Note -- If you inserted a watermark into the document header and did not
use the Printed Watermark dialog box, then you should view the header and
manually delete the watermark

For Word 2002, read the following:

For Word 2000, read the following:

Hi, Lisa,

Display the Drawing toolbar and click the "Select Objects" button (the
big white arrow near the left end of the toolbar). That will let you
click on the watermark, even though it's in a layer behind the text.

But you'll need to have the focus in the header pane when you're doing this
(View | Header and Footer).
