deleting all appointments at once from calender

How can I delete about 1000 appointment from my calendar.
I would like to clear Outlook so that I can start over
with a blank slate.

Switch to the By Category view of your Calendar folder (which is
unfiltered), select all items using CTRL+A, and press Delete.
