Deleting Corrupted Project Files

I need to delete 2 project files. I believe they are corrupted. I cannot open
these files from either Project Professional or Project Web Access because
they appear as "Checked Out" even though they are not checked out. When I go
into PS Cleaner, these files appear as "Checked Out", even though they are
not. I have tried deleting these files using the PS Cleaner but I have been
unsuccessful. I do not get an error message but the files dont get deleted
either.

How can I get rid of these files?

When a file is checked out, this does not mean it is corrupted. It merely
means that it got stuck in "checked out" state in the Project Server
database. To check in the project, refer to the steps in the following
