I thaught of using the distinct string but i think i may be doing in
correctly...here is an example of what im doing...

1- 0001
2- 0001
3-0001
4-0002
5-0002
6-0002
7- 0003

Hi,

With Jet? Append the data into a new table not allowing duplicated
values. You will get error messages like xxxx records won't be appended, but
that is exactly what you want.

Hoping it may help,
