Deleting, editing enterprise templates

SBelling

Does anyone know if it is possible to delete templates
from the Enterprise Templates tab?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to open a
template to edit without having to save it as the template
with the same name and overwriting?

Thanks,
SBelling

Yes, use the clean up database in PWA > Admin

I don't think it's possible. Correct me if I'm wrong...

1. To delete an enterprise template, log into PWA with administrator
permissions and then click Admin - Clean up Project Server database. Select
the "Projects and To-Do Lists" option, select the template, and click the
Delete button.

2. To open and edit a template without being forced to save it over the
existing template, click File - New in Microsoft Project Professional. In
the sidepane on the left, click the "On my computer" option. In the
Templates dialog, select the Enterprise Templates tab and then open the
template. When you edit the template, you are actually editing it as a new
project and when you save it, it will not be saved over the original
template.

Hope this helps.

in PWA go to Admin > Clean up enterprise projects and delete them like you
would a regular project.
