deleting from outbox

I have a message in my outbox that has a .exe
attachment. I would like to delete it however when I
attempt a delete I get a message that says Outlook has
started to send this file and it cannot be deleted.
Outlook keeps trying to send this message, I just want it
gone.

Outlook version? There are a couple ways to do this and knowing the version
helps decide which is best.
