Deleting highlighted text confirmation

E

Eric B.

I have a user using Word 2002 that has an issue when
deleting highlighted text.

She highlights the text and hits the Delete key, but it
prompts her w/ a "Delete Block (Yes) No" box in the
status area. She must select yes to actually delete the
text.

I have looked all over for some confirmation setting or
option to turn this off, but I cannot find it. On all the
other machines, the delete key will just delete the text,
no questions asked.

Does anyone knoe where this setting might be or what is
going on in this case? Thanks.
