iphone.
Everytime the phone and entourage synced a duplicate entry was made in
my entourage calendar. How can I delete multiple events in entourage at
the same time?
This is an extensively documented behaviour of sync in Entourage. Dups
are a common outcome. To prevent this you need to use a workaround in
which you only have one module in Ent engaged for sync at a time e.g.
Calendar and Tasks. This will provide 100% reliable syncs. If you
engage more than one at a time what you've encountered is only the
beginning of the bizarre results you will end up including data loss,
damage and a corrupted DB (make sure you have backups).
Search the forum for more details on the workaround if you don't know
what I mean by engaging just one module at a time.
Oh and to clean up you current DB, if you are of the habit of
categorizing entries just search for all calendar items without a
category. Those will be your dups and you can then delete them. There
are also some Applescripts that get rid of dups and you can find these
in your search on this issue in the forum and I've used one of the
scripts quite successfully.
