Deleting Office 2003 after Installation of Office 2007

I have upgraded Office 2003 to Office 2007. OS is WinXP Home with SP2. After
the installation I had to notice that I can not uninstall MSOffice 2003 with
Remove at the Control Panel. I receive the message: This patch package can
not be opened...Any idea how to get rid of the 541 MB?

did you ever get an answer to this . I am having the same problem and can
not find away to get past it.
