deleting office 2007

[delete 2007]

I have a older version of office but my pc came with a trial of 2007 and now
I can not delete it I default back to it whenever I get something from
someone using 2007? My old files open in 2007 and I can not edit them with
out purchasing 2007
I did the control panel, remove programs, uninstall but it is still there

I also went to the site http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928218
but it does not have a way to PREMENTALY delete it!

The kb928218 gives the correct procedure for uninstalling 2007
Once uninstalled & temp files deleted you need to reboot prior to
installing/repairing whatever paid for version of Office you have.
You may also have installed the compatibility pack which enables you to
*view* Office2007 docs that are sent to you
Uninstalling Office2007 does not impact on data files, even those created in
2007
